Design Philosophy
I specialise in designing beautiful, relaxing gardens for busy professionals, living in the South Shropshire area who are looking to make more use of their outdoor space. Gardens ranging
from small courtyards to larger country gardens.
Is your Garden unloved?
Do you have a garden that is uninspiring, with problem areas that you haven’t a clue how to turn into a beautiful, calm oasis and beneficial space for the family?
Are you unhappy or embarrassed of your garden?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, please give me a call to discuss how I can help.
I would love to work closely with you to produce a design, which is tailored to suit your specific requirements and tastes, a garden of which you can be proud of and can be enjoyed for years to come.
Whether that is creating a space for entertaining loved ones, relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea or a G & T, or an area for the kids to play.
Why choose me?
I am particularly interested in designing gardens, which are not only beautiful but can stimulate mental and physical well-being as well as allowing us to live in harmony with nature.
Gardens should reflect the people that live within the space, linking the indoor with the outdoor, taking you on a journey and evoking happy and cherished memories of a particular place or time.
Good Design...
A good garden design will ensure that the house sits comfortably within the garden and furthermore, that the garden sits comfortably within the surrounding landscape. This is particularly important with larger, countryside garden designs.
Where possible, upcycling and the use of local materials will keep the design grounded and linked to the surrounding
environment.

Joyce
Wenlock Courtyard Garden
From Survey to quotation, to selecting the contractor and management of the project, Tracy was excellent throughout.
As an older person looking for an interesting garden with much less work the design has lived up to my expectations. With interesting planting, the garden looks just as good in the winter months.

From the very start of the design process, Tracy has been absolutely fantastic. She really listened to our vision and designed and created something that we didn’t think possible in our small garden.
She is extremely collaborative making sure we fully understood the process. She is patient and flexible and has such excellent knowledge. We were able to fully trust that her design was going to work really beautifully in our space. We are absolutely thrilled with the final result.
It really has brought the outside in and feels like another room. It’s almost like an extension to the house, which is exactly what we had envisioned. We would highly recommend Tracy for anyone wanting a garden design. It was a delight to work with her.

From the start Tracy took on board all of our wishes and was really easy to work with.
There were several tweaks throughout the design process to enable the self-build process to be more manageable and to run more smoothly.
Tracy was there to support us whenever required and as a consequence, the process and end result was exactly what we both wanted.
Couldn’t recommend anyone better.

Planning an extension to our house, which impacted on our relatively small patio area meant we needed to totally rethink our outside space.
Because of the mature garden, we were finding it really hard to visualise what could be done to give us a larger patio with the entertaining space that we wanted.
Tracy took on board all our comments and ideas, identifying what we wanted to use the space for. She then worked up drawings so we could start to get a feel for what was possible.
Tracy was really easy to work with and very patient as we bounced further ideas around with her until we were all happy with the plans. She then produced 3D drawings which really brought the design to life. She added ideas to the patio design that we would never have thought of but really added to the more traditional look we were after.
Tracy’s help was invaluable. We are so thrilled with the finished project; it really has transformed the back of the house and we are looking forward to many years enjoying it.

I moved into a recently modernised house but most of the garden had been neglected for many years. The developer had created a small patio area with paved steps leading up to two beds containing a few shrubs and a large number of forget-me-nots.
The rest of the garden was narrow and sloping with a tired lawn and a few trees at the end of the plot. A small wooden shed was situated half way up the plot. Tracy had the task of creating a design around some established features and a client who had some ideas of her own!
Tracy produced a design for the garden with three linked areas that give different interests. Pathways made from various types of stone move through the garden and a small, neat lawn is bordered with flower beds and a wooden pagoda offers an attractive seating area.
Climbing roses and clematis have been planted to grow up and over the pagoda. A small greenhouse has been erected discreetly behind the shed. The far end of the garden has a winding grass pathway with a shaped bed of wild flowers either side. This gives a new and exciting interest to the end of the garden.
Tracy has managed to create a beautiful and imaginative area that incorporates some original structures and the expectations and wishes of her client.

Tracy saw our garden as a creative challenge, where other garden designers had seen an impossible shape and gradient and said it was too difficult.
It was a pleasure to work with Tracy. She has transformed our very uninspiring garden into a beautiful place that gives us enjoyment every day, whatever the season. Tracy has vision – she drew up plans that showed the final version of the garden – but is also a details person and she provided our builder with excellent plans.
Practically speaking, we have a garden that drains well, even after a deluge! Tracy created a planting plan for us and accompanied us to a garden centre to assist with plant purchases! Her knowledge is outstanding and it’s lovely to know that she has passed some of this onto us.
We completely underestimated how much joy our garden would give us all and thank Tracy for this transformation.
We wholeheartedly recommend her.

To say we are chuffed with our garden would be an understatement. What a fabulous job Tracy has done for us from the design to the planting, to liaising with the contractors throughout the build. The drawings and the service were second to none.
We were sold immediately on the intricacies of the design which includes formal gardens and dining terraces through to informal seating areas and wildflower borders. Tracy also managed to include a designated sun-bathing area. The lake design was the icing on the cake and connects the garden beautifully into the surrounding paddock area and allowing us to enjoy the far-ranging views over the surrounding countryside.
We spend all our time in the garden now and are very much enjoying the alfresco dining!
One of our absolute joys is the choice of plants to attract wildlife into the garden. The different areas are awash with insects, bees and dragon flies. It has been a pleasure to see all the different plants and bulbs emerge, creating a wash of colour which seems to change on a weekly basis as more plants come through and take over. Absolutely beautiful.
The children really love the garden too and can often be found sitting on the pontoon overlooking the lake. Likewise, as the photo shows, the dog couldn’t be more content and gives it a thumbs up.
Overall, we can’t recommend Tracy enough.
